IMAGE EDITING GUIDE · 4 MIN READ
Edit Product Photos with Text Instructions
Text-guided editing can help explore new product scenes from an existing photo. Describe the surface, backdrop, lighting, and the product details that matter, then verify those details in the result.
Set a clear scene
Name the surface and backdrop: “Place the bottle on a pale stone counter against a soft cream wall.” Add only a few supporting props so the product remains the center of attention.
Describe the light
Specify light direction and softness, for example “diffused daylight from the upper left with a natural shadow falling behind the jar.” The original image’s lighting can inform how the new scene should look.
Protect what must be checked
Ask the editor to retain the product shape and label, but always inspect lettering, packaging, colors, and small marks. Image models can alter typography or product specifics even when asked to preserve them.
Keep the edit reviewable
Make one scene change per generation and compare it against the source. Keep only images that accurately represent the product and meet your brand and advertising requirements.
PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
Try one clear change on your own image.
AI image editing is probabilistic. Review faces, text, logos, and product details before sharing or publishing an output.
